Terms and Conditions
Please take the time to read these terms and conditions that govern your stay at Colina Secreta Glamping and Villas Hotel. By accessing and making reservations through this website, you agree to accept, without limitations or exceptions, all of these terms and conditions of use.
RATES
The room rates displayed on the Colina Secreta website are charged per room per night. Rates quoted in US dollars will be converted to the local currency (Costa Rican Colones) at the daily exchange rate for payments in the local currency.
Prices shown do not include the 13% Value Added Tax (VAT).
Rates and room details are subject to change without prior notice.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations can be made through our website colinasecreta.com or by calling us directly at +506 83509066 or via WhatsApp at the same number.
A security deposit is required to confirm the reservation.
DEPOSIT POLICY
A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation through:
Bank transfer
Credit card
PayPal
SINPE system valid in Costa Rica.

Proof of deposit must be sent to our email [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +506 83509066.
Promotions and special offers also require a 50% deposit. The remaining balance must be settled directly at the hotel on the day of check-in.
All payments must be made directly to Colina Secreta; there is no other intermediary or authorized person to receive payments on our behalf.
If credit card details are provided, the information will be used confidentially solely for the purpose of processing the reservation.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Valid identification in Costa Rica includes a Passport for foreigners and/or a national identity card for nationals.
Check-in/entry time is from 3:00 p.m.
Check-out/departure time is until 11:00 a.m.
After vacating the room, guests can stay in the hotel's common areas. Guests have the option to leave their luggage after completing check-out and retrieve it later on the same day.
If you need to check out late, please inquire in advance. Depending on availability, we may offer half-day rates. Otherwise, you will be subject to a $30.00 USD per hour surcharge.
CANCELLATION POLICY, DATE CHANGE, AND NO SHOW
Cancellation policy:
Guests canceling with 15 days' notice will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
For cancellations made with 14 to 8 days' notice, guests will receive a 50% refund.
With 7 days' notice, no refund will be provided.
These cancellation terms are not valid for non-refundable rates, special rates, or awards.
Date change:
Guests can change the check-in date without penalty up to 30 days before the check-in date if there is availability at the current rate at the time of the change.
For changes requested within 29 days of the check-in date, guests must pay a 20% penalty of the current published rate at the time of the date change, plus any price difference if applicable.
If unable to select a new date for the change, you will have a credit in the currency in which the reservation was made.
Transferability:
At the discretion of the reservation holder, they can assign it to third parties by paying 20% of the current published rate with a simple notice up to 48 hours from the check-in date.
All changes are subject to availability at Colina Secreta Glamping.
No show / Early voluntary departure:
There will be no refund; 100% of the amount paid will be applied as a cancellation fee.

MINIMUM STAY AND RATES
Low season: 1 night
High season: 1 night
Peak season minimum stay: 2 nights (Christmas, New Year, Easter, and national holidays)
PARKING POLICY
All hotel guests enjoy free parking during their stay. For non-hotel guests who wish to use our parking facilities, a fee of $10 per day will apply.
The hotel is not responsible for theft, damage, or harm caused to vehicles, including all objects or living beings contained within them, regardless of whether they are parked in the designated parking spaces on the premises.
LUGGAGE
The Company is not responsible for the deterioration, loss, theft, or damage to the luggage and other personal effects of passengers, whether contracted services through the company's intermediation or taken individually by the passenger. Passengers are advised to take out travel insurance to cover some of the mentioned risks.
SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX SERVICE
Each accommodation unit has a free safety deposit box for the custody of valuables. Please deposit your valuables and/or money in the safe in your room, as long as the total value is less than $1,200.
If you are staying with sums of money and/or valuables worth more, deposit these items for safekeeping, subject to the delivery of a receipt, in the General Safe of the establishment, which you can request at the Reception.
The hotel is not responsible for any theft, loss, or disappearance of items or sums of money not deposited with a receipt in the General Safe or at Reception. The hotel will also not be responsible in case of armed robbery or other force majeure events.
CHILD POLICY
The Glamping experience is wonderful for families! When children visit a hotel that focuses on providing peace and tranquility to its adult guests, it is important for children to behave in a respectful and considerate manner. Children should speak quietly and avoid shouting, running, or making excessive noise in common areas, the pool, and especially in the rooms.
Children over 6 years old are welcome under the supervision of parents or guardians and pay an adult fee. Children under 6 years old may be considered for stays on a case-by-case basis.
Rooms that accommodate children are Belvedere House and La Casa del Artista. The glamping tents are elevated platforms that also accommodate children with extra attention from parents.
Children are not allowed in the Palms Room and the Birds Room (in the Main Villa). The goal is for children to be aware of their surroundings and respect the need for peace and relaxation of adult guests at the hotel.
PET POLICY
Pets are not allowed in the rooms of the Main House.
Please keep dogs on a leash at all times.
Do not leave them alone in the tent or rooms under any circumstances.
Clean up after them.
Do your best to prevent barking that may disturb other guests.
VISITOR POLICY
For security reasons, access to the rooms by individuals who are not staying at the hotel is prohibited. If a guest receives visitors, they must remain in the hotel lobby or register at the reception.
LOST ITEMS AND DAMAGES
The hotel is not and will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the property of the Customer or in the custody of the Customer, their guests, employees, agents, or contractors, or external suppliers. The hotel may provide safety deposit boxes for Customer use at the Customer's sole risk.
The Hotel will also not be responsible in case of armed robbery or other force majeure events.
RESTRICTIONS
Entry to the facility with the following items is not allowed:
Knives or firearms.
Appliances and/or heating and/or cooking equipment.
Colina Secreta reserves the right to immediately remove and/or confiscate any prohibited item found in any of the rooms during the guest's stay.
GUEST CONDUCT
Guests must speak quietly and in an orderly and acceptable manner, without disturbing the enjoyment of other guests. Please note that from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., there must be peace on the property to respect the privacy of others. During this time, only speaking in a low voice is allowed.
The use of electronic devices, such as mobile phones, must be done with headphones or in silent mode to avoid disturbing other guests.
The use of speakers or sound amplifiers is prohibited.
We reserve the right to immediately terminate the reservation of guests and any member of the group if their behavior is deemed to violate this clause.
Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Creating an inappropriate level of noise, music, amplified speeches, or other sounds that disturb, disrupt, or frighten other guests and/or wildlife. As a general rule, the sound of your music should NOT be audible from other rooms.
Cutting plants and flowers, or interrupting or attempting to capture any of the birds and animals.
Imitating animal sounds.
Undisciplined and inappropriate behavior due to alcohol consumption.
Smoking tobacco in rooms and common areas.
Any behavior considered offensive or inappropriate by other guests or staff.
Walking shirtless or topless in men and wearing only swimwear in women in common areas and the garden.
Strict prohibition of using illicit drugs, including marijuana.
EARLY DEPARTURE
In case we terminate your reservation, you will be required to vacate your accommodation immediately. You will be responsible for any damage or loss caused by you or a member of your group. You must pay the total amount for any damage or loss before your departure. If you do not make the payment, you will be responsible for covering any claims (including legal costs) filed against us as a result of your actions, along with all costs we incur in pursuing any claims against you.
DISCLAIMER STATEMENT
I have been informed by Colina Secreta Glamping that the mentioned facilities are located in 3 hectares of primary and secondary jungle, with significant elevation changes in the trails, where trees and branches can fall, surrounded by different species of dangerous wild animals. If your physical abilities are limited or you have heart, respiratory, or mobility conditions, please inform the reception staff upon arrival as soon as possible so that the Hotel can take the necessary measures, such as assigning you a more easily accessible room.
The Hotel is not responsible for any accidents and/or incidents that guests may experience within the Hotel premises, such as falls, bumps, animal bites, among others. The expenses resulting from such accidents or incidents will be the responsibility of the guest, exempting the Hotel from any legal liability.
I irrevocably release 3-102769592 SRL (the company representing Colina Secreta Glamping), its shareholders, directors, and collaborators, from all contractual and/or extra-contractual liability for any possible damages that I or my belongings may suffer during my stay at Colina Secreta Glamping. This includes damages caused by personal causes, as well as factors beyond my control, such as accidents, illnesses, fortuitous events, force majeure, weather phenomena, or natural events. In addition, I irrevocably waive any type of claim, whether judicial or extrajudicial, against the aforementioned individuals.
This regulation is written in French and English, but it is specifically established that, for legal purposes, it is valid and valid only in Spanish. These Terms and Conditions will be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Costa Rica.
